I enjoyed it but I feel like the minority are the ones that liked it! The publisher really pushed the book's publicity but it flopped, it seems. So you were not alone! More like I was alone! ;DAlyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00128004483437247740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5478447915672497112.post-68310550965308790722015-06-27T17:43:52.652-05:002015-06-27T17:43:52.652-05:00Ahhh, I really hope I like ACOTAR now! Good luck with binge reading shatter me!RattleThePageshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00384685788016281486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5478447915672497112.post-85343668008630399532015-06-27T16:54:24.268-05:002015-06-27T16:54:24.268-05:00I usually read negative reviews first! I'm bin...I usually read negative reviews first! I'm binge-reading the Shatter Me series soon, so I'll see about that. I liked the original three Mortal Instruments books when I read them nearly ten years ago... now I'm just like meh. I haven't read The Night Circus but I've had it for years! I know nothing about the Amelia book :D I can see what Maraia is saying about ACOTAR - the last third of the book really bothered me and I'm kind of not excited about the series now. Throne of Glass and Crown of Midnight were two black-sheep books for me! But I liked Heir of Fire :)

Great post, Cyra!

Alyssa @ The Eater of Books!Alyssahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00128004483437247740noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5478447915672497112.post-2107655292557394292015-06-27T15:29:28.734-05:002015-06-27T15:29:28.734-05:00Ahhhh, I have A Court of Thorns and Roses on my to...Ahhhh, I have A Court of Thorns and Roses on my to read shelf! I hope I like it more than you did! One book I completely forgot that I wanted to put on there was We Were Liars by E. Lockhart! I hated that one. Also last night I finished The Death Code by Lindsay Cummings and I didn't like that one at all either. And it doesnt even really have a whole lot of bad reviews on goodreads yet so I can't find someone who feels that way too!RattleThePageshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00384685788016281486noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5478447915672497112.post-8992787362178611482015-06-27T14:59:53.598-05:002015-06-27T14:59:53.598-05:00YES I totally go through negative reviews, haha. I...YES I totally go through negative reviews, haha. I like to find at least *one* person who agrees with me so I don't feel as weird.

I did enjoy the Shatter Me series, at least at first, but I could not get on board the Warner ship. I completely agree with you that he's awful, and I don't buy the "I was only doing it because I love you" line. NOPE.

Oh man, the Mortal Instruments Series WOULD NOT END. Another blogger pointed out that the whole story took place over only 5 months but was 3163 pages!! City of Heavenly Fire was so painful to read. I had to force myself through every page, but like you, I felt like I had to read it at that point. I have zero memory of what happened, nor do I care. Ughhh.

A recent black sheep book for me was A Court of Thorns of Roses, which is one of the most hyped books ever, but I hated it. :(Maraiahttp://www.twitter.com/maraiazoonoreply@blogger.com
