Disney Book Tag

Sunday, December 6, 2015

Today I'm going to do the Disney book tag! I don't remember where I saw this tag or who I got it from, but I saw several different tags from people with different questions so I combined them and then got rid of two I couldn't think of anything for. So yeah, here is the Disney book tag!

Little Mermaid
Name a character who is a fish out of water.

Besides the fact that no girl should be in her position at all ever, Aya is really out of place at the Garden where she ends up after being captured. She is so different from the other girls there with her beliefs and constant attempts to escape while everyone else is so excited to be there.

Snow White
Name a book with an eclectic cast of characters.

I think that the Gladers are a pretty interesting group of boys.

The Lion King
Name a character who had something tragic happen to them in their childhood.

I think Adelina's childhood counts as tragic. She got whatever illness was going around and lost her eye and was treated like crap by her father for being a monster. I find that tragic.

Beauty and the Beast
Name a beast of a book that first intimidated you.

This is definitely a beast of a book. Seems that if this particular book is so big, there would be so much more room for awful things to happen to the characters I love! It didn't end up being as bad as I imagined, but the size was still intimidating!

Mulan
Name a character who is pretending to be something they're not.

Mare Barrow has to pretend to be a silver after she discovers her powers in a most public way.

Up
Name a book where you had no idea what it was about based on the title and cover.

I don't remember if I knew what this book was about when I bought it or if I just bought it because I saw it everywhere, but I don't think you can really guess from the title or cover what this book is going to be about.

Frozen
Name a pair of fictional siblings you love.

I love all the Weasley siblings, but I think that Fred and George deserve a spotlight here because they are just so interesting and funny and I love them.

Disney Descendants
Favorite villain or morally ambiguous character.

I like the Darkling as a villain. Throughout most of the series he really didn't even seem all that bad to me. He just kinda struck me as sad and lonely.

Cinderella
Name a character that goes through a major transformation.

I really didn't like this book that much. I hated it in the beginning because I hated Lilac, but I feel like she had a decent transformation if only from being a character I despised to one that I tolerated.

Sleeping Beauty
Name a book that put you to sleep.

Yes, I actually fell asleep reading this book.

Toy Story
Name a book where you wish the characters could just come to life.

I love the characters in this series so much! I want them all to come to life so I can give them all big hugs!

Warm Me Up For Christmas Tag

Sunday, November 22, 2015

I saw this tag on Two Sisters Bloggin' and decided I have to do it! Christmas is my favorite time of the year! I love Christmas shopping and decorating and everything!

1. What's your favorite hot chocolate?

I don't drink a terrible lot of hot chocolate, but I really like peppermint hot chocolate!

2. What's your favorite pajamas, fluffy socks, and slippers?

Ususally for pajamas I just wear a pair of leggings or my Victoria's Secret sweatpants and a tshirt or sweater. I love the fuzzy socks from Bath and Body Works that have like aloe or something in them. They're so majestic. I don't really wear slippers, but I have a pair that my grandma got from her Hutterite friends that are nice to wear when it's particularly cold in the house.

3. Favorite thing in winter?

Christmas! I love buying gifts. I love wrapping gifts. I love decorating my house. I love making Christmas cookies. I love driving around and looking at the Christmas lights. I just love everything about Christmas!

4. Favorite winter lip products?

Really, any kind of chapstick is a necessity here. I like Baby Lips and EOS brands the best!

5. Favorite winter candle?

I guess I've never really had a winter candle before, but I would really like to get the Vanilla Bean Noel scent from Bath and Body Works. That's my favorite of their Christmas smells!

6. Favorite scarf?

I have a grey infinity scarf that I LOVE to wear! I think I got it at Rue 21. It's a fantastic scarf.

7. Favorite winter bath bomb?

I've only ever used one bath bomb before and it was the Sex Bomb from Lush! It smells so good and I love that it turns the water pink! I hate that little rice paper flower in it though.

8. Favorite winter scent?

I like warm scents in the winter. My favorite one is Warm & Cozy from Victoria's Secret PINK!

9. What do you like about winter?

I like being able to wear jeans and sweatshirts and scarves and boots. And I like Christmas. And I like that my boyfriend doesn't have as much work to do during the winter.

10. Favorite movie?

My favorite movie to watch in the winter is Elf!

11. Do you like the snow?

I like snow until right after New Years. Then I hate it. I hate driving in it. I hate shoveling it. I hate when it melts and makes my road impossible to drive on. Generally though, no I really don't care for snow.

What would some of your answers be for these questions? :)

Harry Potter Spells Book Tag

Monday, October 12, 2015

I saw this tag on A Perfection Called Books and I just had to do it! I LOVE Harry Potter!!!

An Upcoming Release You Wish You Could Get Your Hands On Right Now:

Definitely Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. She is a queen.

Favorite Series Starter:

This book was so good! I am dying to get my hands on book two!

A Book That Gave You All The Warm And Fuzzies:

Despite not really caring for contemporaries, I really liked this one. I loved reading about Paris and I loved reading about Anna and Etienne. I read this whole book in one sitting!

A Book That Made You Ugly Cry:

I cried the ugliest of cries while reading this book.

Bookish Hero Or Heroine You Want Around To Protect You In Real Life:

Forget Rowan or Chaol or Aedion or Dorian... I want Celaena to protect me in real life. She's ferocious!

A Book You Intentionally Spoiled For Yourself:

This is the last book that I ever read the last page of early. Because it told me more than I wanted to know. So like I did intentionally spoil it for myself by reading the last page, but I didn't mean to COMPLETELY spoil it for myself like I did!

A Book You Wish You Could Make Everyone Read Because You Love It So:

Favorite book ever. Everyone needs to read this one!

A Book Series You Wish Never Ended:

I could read about the adventures of Harry's and Ron's kids at Hogwarts. I mean, eventually there is going to be a new evil wizard hell bent on killing some poor kid or something dastardly like that. I would read about that.

A Book With An Uplifting Message:

Despite not loving this book, the main character puts her sister (her only family) first before anything else. They love each other unconditionally and it's sweet and I think that's a good message.

A Book You Wish You Could Forget You Ever Read:

Instead of doing Fifty Shades of Grey like I was going to, I'll do this one. I think that this book could have been a really cute book if it was done better, but the way it is, I just did NOT like it at all.

An Author Whose Books Always Get You Out Of A Reading Slump:

I guess I don't really have a go to author for when I get in reading slumps. I just try to push through when I get in a reading slump. But since Alexandra Bracken is my absolute favorite, I will just say that hers do! Because they probably would!

A Swoon-Worthy Hero Or Heroine:

Let's go with Alex Sheathes for a change. Because he is definitely a sweetie and I want one.

A Book That Caused You To Stop Doing All Other Things Until You Finished It:

When I started this book, I was really glad that I bought all three at once because I stopped everything and read all three of these in four days! So good!

A Book That Way Painful To Read (For Whatever Reason) Or Broke You:

This book was painful for the fact that I REALLY did not like it. Like at all. Like right after I ordered this book, I saw on Tumblr that someone said DO NOT GET THIS BOOK! But I didn't heed their warning and cancel because the cover is so pretty, but pretty cover does not equal good book.

A Book That Had You Laughing Out Loud:

In general, this book didn't have me laughing out loud, but there was one part in this book where Wendy yelled at some Lost Boys for being brats and then a bunch of other Lost Boys pretty much swarmed her and one of them asked her "Will you yell at me?" and I really laughed hard at that.

A Book That Made You Want To Send It (Or Your E-Reader) Flying:

I did throw this book across the room. I was kind of hoping to read a book where this thing happens and it's not a fake to make you sad and then I got my wish and it mad me sad and I threw it. I threw it hard. No shame.

A Bookish World You Wish You Could Visit:

I don't think that I would be very keen on the oompa loompas, but I think that visiting Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory would be pretty bomb.

A Book With A Shocking Twist Or Ending:

Forever astounded by the twist that made me go back and reread a lot of the book to make see where I went wrong.

A Character Death That Destroyed You:

Even though it got spoiled for me and I didn't even really like this book all that much, I still ugly cried for like 20 minutes.

Best Series Conclusion:

This was an excellent series conclusion. Well worth waiting in line for however long I waited in line when I got this book at midnight when it came out! It wasn't anticlimactic like I feel a lot of endings are lately. It wrapped everything up nicely. And our three main characters live happily ever after!

I made a real effort on a  lot of these questions to try and pick books that I don't usually pick for some of these repeat questions. I hope I did good. I tag anyone who wants to do this! It was quite fun!
