Throne of Glass Book Tag

Sunday, November 8, 2015

The Throne of Glass book tag was created by Alexa from Alexa Loves Books and Hannah from So Obsessed With. I rearranged the questions to an order that made more sense to me and I also added a question! Also, I don't know if it's just me, but I thought that this tag was like, really hard!

Aelin Ashryver Galathynius

A book with the power to destroy you:

I can't remember if I've listed this book for a question like this before, but I felt a bit destroyed after reading this book.

***

*Dorian Havilliard*
I added this one because it felt wrong to not have a question for Dorian in this tag.

A book with an awesome friendship:

I really like the friendship between Maddie and Queenie and what they do for each other even though their story is rather tragic.

***

Chaol Westfall

A book that challenged you to see things differently:

I guess I don't know that this book challenged ME to see things differently, but I think that the MC is challenged to see things differently. A little bit.. Maybe.

***

Rowan Whitethorn

A book that makes you swoon:

Feyre and Tamlin's relationship is VERY swoon worthy.

***

Kaltain Rompier

A book with an unexpected twist:

I thought that there was a little bit of a twist in this book that I really wasn't expecting! I really enjoyed this book.

***

Lysandra

A book with a cover change you loved:

I like both of these covers, but I think that the new paperback cover is so much prettier.

***

Manon Blackbeak

A book that intimidated you:

This is literally the only book I can think of for this question. I first started trying to read this book when I was 10 because my mom loved it and I couldn't even make it through the first chapter because it was kinda boring. But then I saw the movie and I loved it and I tried again and I was scared I wasn't gonna like it still, but it ended up going well the second time.

Asterin Blackbeak

A book that's got SQUAD GOALS:

In the spirit of trying to use semi new answers for some of these questions, I'm going to go with The Outsiders! The Greasers are such a close, tight nit group and they all care so much for each other. It would be awesome to be a part of their squad!

***

Abraxos

A book that's better on the inside than it looks on the outside:

I don't know, I guess it doesn't look bad on the outside, but there are definitely prettier covers out there. This book is FANTASTIC though!

***

Fleetfoot

A book you received as a gift:

The most recent book that I received as a gift was this book! It's so pretty!

***

Erilea

A series with great world building:

I like the world building in this book.

***

Rifthold

A book that combines genres:

This book combines the original story of A Christmas Carol with a ghostly spin. It's a mashup of a classic and horror. Or so it claims. I didn't care for it, but I think it counts for this question.

***

Assassin's Keep

A book with an unreliable narrator:

The main character is found wandering down a road hundreds of miles away from where she disappeared from a year ago. She doesn't know who she is or how she got there, all she knows is that she is not the real girl who's body she's in.

I really didn't like this book.

***

Terrasen

A book that feels like home:

I'm really not even 100% sure what I think that this question means. So I don't really know what I would answer? I guess I've never read a book that made me feel this way.

***

Damaris

A book based on/inspired by a myth/legend:

This is a retelling of Hans Christian Andersen's The Wild Swans. And it's so so good!

***

Eye of Elena

A book you found right when you needed it:

Perhaps I'm a hugely poor sport, but I can't think of anything for this one either. I've never stumbled across a book that just spoke to me about something that was going on in my life at the time, that I just needed to hear. So I guess I can't answer this question either.

***

If anyone wants to try out this, then I tag YOU!

  1. This looks like a fun tag :) I haven't read a lot of the books you've mentioned, but I totally agree on The Outsiders and ACOTAR!!
