Divergent Factions Book Tag

Sunday, February 14, 2016

I was just strolling through some booktube videos looking for a new tag to do for today and I stumbled across the Divergent Factions Book Tag! It was created by Lions and Tigers and Books Oh My!

Abnegation

1. Pick a book that you've recently recommended to someone.

The book that I have most recently recommended to anyone was most definitely Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys! It is so fantastic and heartbreaking and just all around wonderful! So yeah, if you haven't read it, go do that. Report back.

2. Pick a grey book.

Ruined by Amy Tintera is a book with a grey cover that I'm really excited to read! It sounds fantastic!

Dauntless

3. A book with a brave or a foolhardy main character.

Harry Potter is a very brave character. He's brave enough to go up against Voldemort again and again, but foolhardy because he's constantly trying to tell everyone around him he has to do it by himself. Dammit Harry, sit down and let your friends help you.

4. Pick a black book.

If you haven't read a book by The Oatmeal (aka Matthew Inman), you should. They're hilarious. They're kind of like comic books. I haven't read The Terrible and Wonderful Reasons Why I Run Long Distances yet, but I have it. My favorite is How To Tell If Your Cat Is Plotting To Kill You.

Erudite

5. Pick a book you learned a lot from.

I'm going to throw Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys out there again. I learned a lot about WWII history reading this book! I couldn't believe I'd never heard of the disaster that is the sinking of the Wilhelm Gustloff before reading this book! And there are several other things that I'd never heard of in this book, like the massacre at Nemmersdorf! So if you're in the mood for a history lesson, read this book! Report back.

6. Pick a blue book.

Since I probably shouldn't put Salt to the Sea AGAIN, I'll put The Heart of Betrayal by Mary E. Pearson since I simply cannot wait for The Beauty of Darkness to come out this summer! I need it now!

Amity

7. Pick a book that makes you feel good.

The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken makes me feel soooo good because Liam Stewart.

8.  Pick a book that is red and yellow.

I'm going to go with Ready Player One by Ernest Cline because I really want to read this one!

Candor

9. Pick a book that you hate that everyone else loves.

I didn't actually HATE Cinder, but I found it to be really boring and not as awesome as everyone and their dogs made it out to be.

10. Pick a black and white book.

I'm gonna go with Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake for this one. I read this a long time ago, I need to get around to reading Girl of Nightmares because I really liked this book!

Factionless

11. Pick a book that has many genres.

Cinder is the best that I could come up with because it's kinda Sci-Fi and is also a retelling.

12. Which faction would you like to be in?

I would most definitely be Amity. I feel like Dauntless would be the most fun, but I would not fit in there. I would be Amity all the way.

    1. You should do it! This one was fun and easy to do! I feel like some tags have some questions that just really stump a person, but this one was all good. And yes, definitely read Salt to the Sea! It's seriously so good!
