Seven Facts About Me:
1. I was almost born with a sixth finger on my left hand. I have a little bump on my pinky finger where it would have been. My grandma was born with a bump like this on one hand and a sixth finger (which was removed) on the other.
2. Weird one: Outer space scares me. Not like totally fictional outer space like in books like Zodiac or Spinning Starlight or These Broken Stars. But like I read the back of the book The Martian or whatever and I really think I'd get nightmares if I read that. Or whatever that outer space movie with Sandra Bullock is.. No. I can't do that. That scares me. I don't like it at all.
3. I met my boyfriend at a party I almost didn't go to because I HATE parties (I'm so antisocial, also I VERY rarely drink, like once a year or less), but I knew my friends who were going would rave about it and I'd be sad that I missed out so I put my big girl panties on and went. And we've been together for going on five years now and I am SO HAPPY that I actually went to that stupid party even though it was basically lame (being the DD will do that to a party).
4. I have a few weird things that I do/don't do. I know they're weird, but I can't help it.
-I will not knock on new to me people's doors. And when I get comfortable knocking on your door, I will not enter without knocking first. When I first started hanging out with my boyfriend in college and I would go to his house all the time, his roommate told me that the only people who knock are the cops and me.
-I will not answer anyone's phone that is not mine. And if I don't know a phone number on my phone I will not answer it. Which I think is totally reasonable, but my boyfriend is always like WHAT IF ITS IMPORTANT?! If it is, they'll leave a message or call back. Chill bro.
-I won't use new to me people's bathrooms. Gets totally uncomfortable and probably not good for me, but I can't help it. I like physically can't bring myself to do it. Like it's obviously not a big deal and I know that, but I'm weird like that.
-I don't use people's names. This has been pointed out to me and I will honestly pretend to forget someone's name so I don't have to say it. I have always been like this as long as I can remember and I don't know why?! I'm SO WEIRD!
5. This might be obvious at this point, but boy can I ever ramble!
6. My sister and I are both obsessed with the Legend of Zelda. She is considerably more obsessed, but that's okay because it's easy to shop for her for Christmas and stuff. I have gotten her replica game items (Ocarina, Sword, Shield, and this year I am thinking Slingshot). Anyway, yeah, my favorite game is Ocarina of Time and I also am LOVING Hyrule Warriors. I have a bunch of tshirts and someone at my work asked me if I actually played the game or if I was just a video game fashionista. Nah son.
7. I <3 Alexandra Bracken! Probs not a secret or anything, but I LOOOOVE her series The Darkest Minds! I have so far been super lucky as to have collected ARCs of all of her books that have them (except Passenger, so you know, if you happen across one and don't want to keep it, I'll trade you or something). My first ever signed book was one of hers that I ordered and that was so cool so if I see that I can order them again I'm so ordering ONE OF EACH! Must add to my hoard.
I nominate:
Anyone who wants to be nominated because my deepest fear is completely annoying someone who doesn't want to be nominated for such things. So you reading this, yeah you, you're nominated!
Oh, you are MUCH better than me at coming up with facts about yourself! I envy you :)
ReplyDeleteIt's totally okay to be afraid of outer space. All that...endlessness. I think if I took enough time to think about the infiniteness of the universe, I'D be scared out of my wits. And yes, you have some weird habits, but we all love you like that! EMBRACE YOUR WEIRDNESS! (I have a friend. She proudly calls herself "The Princess of Weird". Totally not kidding.)
Thanks for doing the award :D
Haha, it took me awhile to come up with all of these! Being a little bit weird always makes life more interesting, so good for her for embracing her inner princess of weird. Thank you for tagging me! It was fun! :)
