Stacking the Shelves (#49)

Saturday, July 16, 2016

Stacking the Shelves is a weekly meme hosted by Tynga's Reviews to highlight books received each week!

During the week of July 9th - 15th, I got...

GIFT:

This is all I got this week! This is actually one of the books that I bought for my partner in the last Books 'n' Bloggers Swap I did! She was kind enough to send it on to me when she was finished with it because I hadn't read it yet and it was one I was wanting to read!

Thank you Beth! This was SO nice of you!

What kinds of goodies did you get this week?

  2. I saw three Vonnegut ebooks I didn't have for $1.99 and when saw that if I bought them I would have seven of his books I got the bright idea of doing a Vonnegut marathon read sometime next year. Ha ha. Now I am just hoping that all the rest go on sale at some point, although I think the library probably has digital downloads of them. I bought Cat's Cradle and Slaughterhouse Five which I have already read, and Hocus Pocus which I had not heard of before. I also nabbed The Prince Of Tides for $1.99 and I found Alice Hoffman's Faithful as a Read Now on Netgalley. I am reading the Discworld book, The Wee Free Men, and am contemplating at this very moment whether I should get A Hat Full Of Sky for $5.99 because it is the next book. Have you read any Vonnegut, Hoffman, or Pratchett?

    1. Thank you for this comment. Because I have something similar to this planned to start in September and I could NOT think of a good term for what to call it and Marathon Read is SO PERFECT! I haven't read anything by any of the people you just mentioned! But now I kind of want to read Hocus Pocus just because the title reminds me of the Halloween movie and I LOVE THAT MOVIE.
