The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag

Sunday, September 13, 2015

I saw this The Secret Life of a Book Blogger Tag over on The Reading Petal (where I seem to find all the tags I do).

Let's begin!

How long have you been blogging?

I started my blog on June 3rd of this year! So just over 3 months!

At what point do you think you will stop blogging?

I don't know. I guess I don't have any immediate plans to stop. I think it's fun and I can find people who actually want to talk about books with me! Since no one I know really reads and whenever I give my sister books to read, she's SOOO SLOW!

What is the best thing about blogging?

I have found so many amazing new books to read that I probably would never have heard of if I'd never started! If I wouldn't have gotten so into this book community, I probably wouldn't have heard of the Throne of Glass books and I think that would be a horrible shame. Also the His Fair Assassin books. So good!

What is the worst thing about blogging? What do you do to make it okay?

The worst thing I can think of is that all the books I've been reading lately are books that I have gotten off Netgalley that don't come out for awhile so I can't really post reviews of them. It feels like it's been forever since I read a book I could immediately post about! I guess I don't do anything to make it okay because at least I get to read a book, not a bad problem to have.

How long does it take you to create/find pictures to use?

I generally just find pictures of book covers or authors off of Goodreads.

Who is your book crush?

Liam Stewart from The Darkest Minds!! Looove him so much!

What author would you like to have on your blog?

Alexandra Bracken is my FAVORITE and it would be such a sweet honor to have her on my blog!!

What do you wear when you write your blog posts?

Generally I either get home from work and put on my pajamas to write blog posts or I just whip my pants off and write them in my undies.

How long does it take you to prepare?

I guess, unless I'm doing other things at the same time, it really doesn't take me that long to prepare things. Even reviews don't seem to take as long as I would have thought they would. I go through and just write out everything and then I go back through and polish it. Doesn't take too terribly long for me. But they're also probably not that good so there's that.

How do you feel about the book blogger community/culture?

I love it! Everyone is so friendly and creative and if they like books, then they're my kind of people! I'm glad I got into this community, even if I still just kind of lurk in the background.

What do you think one should do to get a successful blog?

Keep at it and have fun! It won't ever be successful if you give up!

Who do I tag?

Anyone who sees this and wants to do it!! Have a blast!

  2. I loved reading your answers! I would love to have Alexandra Bracken on my blog too! I totally agree one of the many perks that comes with blogging is the amount of recommendations I've gotten from so many people! I've read so many amazing books!
