I saw this tag on Two Sisters Bloggin' and decided that I would do it because tags are lots of fun! No one tagged me, but as if that is going to stop me.
Do you have a certain place at home for reading?
I generally just read on the couch. Since the addition of my house is finished, I kind of want to create a little reading nook, but yeah, we'll see how that actually goes.
Bookmark or random piece of paper?
I have actually been really good about using actual bookmarks lately! I just got one that says book nerd on it and I have Celaena and Feyre bookmarks from hellohappyco on Etsy! I had a bacon bookmark, but it's missing in action. :(
Can you just stop reading or do you have to stop after a chapter/ a certain amount of pages?
I can stop in the middle of a chapter only if something vital comes up because let's be real, it doesn't make sense to stop reading right in the middle of a scene or whatever.
Do you eat or drink while reading?
I'd put the book down to eat, but if I'm thirsty, I'm gonna drink!
Multi-tasking: Music or TV while reading?
Noooo. I cannot concentrate on the book with all the racket in the background!
One book at a time or several at once?
One at a time. I don't know how people can read so many books at once and keep track of what's going on in each book. I don't have the brain power for that.
Reading at home or everywhere?
Preferably at home, but I can read in the car. Generally wouldn't probably read anywhere else besides those places.
Reading out loud or silently in your head?
Silently in my head.
Do you ever read ahead or even skip pages?
I can't recall a time where I ever skipped pages? I used to occasionally read the last page of a book before I got that far til one time it basically ruined everything by reading that page first and now I don't roll like that anymore.
Breaking the spine or keeping it like new?
LIKE NEW!
Do you write in your books?
Heck no!
If you want to do this tag, feel free to do so! I'd love to see it!
This was fun to read! I can't believe you used to read the last page first. My dad does that, and I don't understand, haha. I am one of those people who's always reading at least two books, though. I have to have an audiobook going. I can't concentrate on reading with any background nice, either. Even if someone is on the phone in another room, it's too distracting.
ReplyDeleteI can't read with people talking on the phone either. It always feels like they're shouting right into your ear! I am HORRIBLE at tuning out noise so I need it to be fairly silent when I read if I want to comprehend anything!
DeleteI like this tag. It's really short and fun. I may snag this from you ;). I read a lot at work, so I have a lot of practice with having to stop in the middle of a page. It drives me nuts, but I've learned to deal with it.

It was a fun tag! I do end up quitting in the middle of a page a lot more than I'd like to lately. It seems like as soon as I get into a good book around here, EVERYONE AND THEIR DOG NEEDS SOMETHING FROM ME!
