Harry Potter Spells Book Tag

Monday, October 12, 2015

I saw this tag on A Perfection Called Books and I just had to do it! I LOVE Harry Potter!!!

An Upcoming Release You Wish You Could Get Your Hands On Right Now:

Definitely Passenger by Alexandra Bracken. She is a queen.

Favorite Series Starter:

This book was so good! I am dying to get my hands on book two!

A Book That Gave You All The Warm And Fuzzies:

Despite not really caring for contemporaries, I really liked this one. I loved reading about Paris and I loved reading about Anna and Etienne. I read this whole book in one sitting!

A Book That Made You Ugly Cry:

I cried the ugliest of cries while reading this book.

Bookish Hero Or Heroine You Want Around To Protect You In Real Life:

Forget Rowan or Chaol or Aedion or Dorian... I want Celaena to protect me in real life. She's ferocious!

A Book You Intentionally Spoiled For Yourself:

This is the last book that I ever read the last page of early. Because it told me more than I wanted to know. So like I did intentionally spoil it for myself by reading the last page, but I didn't mean to COMPLETELY spoil it for myself like I did!

A Book You Wish You Could Make Everyone Read Because You Love It So:

Favorite book ever. Everyone needs to read this one!

A Book Series You Wish Never Ended:

I could read about the adventures of Harry's and Ron's kids at Hogwarts. I mean, eventually there is going to be a new evil wizard hell bent on killing some poor kid or something dastardly like that. I would read about that.

A Book With An Uplifting Message:

Despite not loving this book, the main character puts her sister (her only family) first before anything else. They love each other unconditionally and it's sweet and I think that's a good message.

A Book You Wish You Could Forget You Ever Read:

Instead of doing Fifty Shades of Grey like I was going to, I'll do this one. I think that this book could have been a really cute book if it was done better, but the way it is, I just did NOT like it at all.

An Author Whose Books Always Get You Out Of A Reading Slump:

I guess I don't really have a go to author for when I get in reading slumps. I just try to push through when I get in a reading slump. But since Alexandra Bracken is my absolute favorite, I will just say that hers do! Because they probably would!

A Swoon-Worthy Hero Or Heroine:

Let's go with Alex Sheathes for a change. Because he is definitely a sweetie and I want one.

A Book That Caused You To Stop Doing All Other Things Until You Finished It:

When I started this book, I was really glad that I bought all three at once because I stopped everything and read all three of these in four days! So good!

A Book That Way Painful To Read (For Whatever Reason) Or Broke You:

This book was painful for the fact that I REALLY did not like it. Like at all. Like right after I ordered this book, I saw on Tumblr that someone said DO NOT GET THIS BOOK! But I didn't heed their warning and cancel because the cover is so pretty, but pretty cover does not equal good book.

A Book That Had You Laughing Out Loud:

In general, this book didn't have me laughing out loud, but there was one part in this book where Wendy yelled at some Lost Boys for being brats and then a bunch of other Lost Boys pretty much swarmed her and one of them asked her "Will you yell at me?" and I really laughed hard at that.

A Book That Made You Want To Send It (Or Your E-Reader) Flying:

I did throw this book across the room. I was kind of hoping to read a book where this thing happens and it's not a fake to make you sad and then I got my wish and it mad me sad and I threw it. I threw it hard. No shame.

A Bookish World You Wish You Could Visit:

I don't think that I would be very keen on the oompa loompas, but I think that visiting Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory would be pretty bomb.

A Book With A Shocking Twist Or Ending:

Forever astounded by the twist that made me go back and reread a lot of the book to make see where I went wrong.

A Character Death That Destroyed You:

Even though it got spoiled for me and I didn't even really like this book all that much, I still ugly cried for like 20 minutes.

Best Series Conclusion:

This was an excellent series conclusion. Well worth waiting in line for however long I waited in line when I got this book at midnight when it came out! It wasn't anticlimactic like I feel a lot of endings are lately. It wrapped everything up nicely. And our three main characters live happily ever after!

I made a real effort on a  lot of these questions to try and pick books that I don't usually pick for some of these repeat questions. I hope I did good. I tag anyone who wants to do this! It was quite fun!

  1. I haven't seen this tag before, but OMG I LOVE IT. It almost makes me want to start a blog, just so I can do it. XD Great choices for these, I love how well each spell fits the description and the description fits the book you picked. I haven't read all of the books, but I agree about a lot of them. The Fault in our Stars definitely made me bawl. YESSS to more Harry Potter. I love Alex from Delirium as well. I've heard terrible things about The Seeker, I'm glad I heeded the warnings. :P Your comment about The Kiss of Deception made me laugh. I also somehow completely missed the hints and was surprised at the end. And, of course, The Deathly Hallows was perfect. **SPOILER**I wish Fred hadn't died, but still, I love how JKR wrapped it all up.

    1. I loved it too! I was so pumped to do this tag! I am glad you heeded the warnings about Seeker! I think that when I first read that book was around the time I was first considering starting a blog and I had like half a review written in a notebook for that one and it ain't pretty. I wish Fred hadn't died either!! </3 I really can't understand how I just TOTALLY missed the hints in Kiss of Deception! But I loved that twist! I loved being so surprised by it! I LOVE THAT SERIES!

  2. I really really REALLY hope you get Passenger! A wish granted on NetGalley, at least! And totally agreed about Allegiant - though I have not read it, I know all about that shocking mess of book. I did like Seeker though. :D

    1. Thank you! Everytime I see a tweet about wishes being granted on Netgalley I stalk my email only to be disappointed, but I won't give up! I'll get it eventually! I saw that someone on books for trade got lucky and got a copy! That could be me next time! Haha! But yeah, Allegiant was a mess! And I'm glad that you enjoyed Seeker! I really wanted to, but I just found it so dumb! Maybe it was partially because someone else told me how awful it was, but I still thought it was dumb.

  3. I keep hearing Anna gives all the warm fuzzies, I need to see this for myself!! I'm really missing out, aren't I? The Kiss of Deception totally stupefied me. Holy plot twists. :0 I cried in Allegiant, silent, searing tears of agony and pain. Just reading Four's reaction.... AHHH. I too am wishing you the best on getting Passenger! :)

Isn't this tag so fun?! :)
