The Coffee Book Tag

Friday, October 9, 2015

I saw this tag on Literary Legionnaire and decided I was going to do it! It was started by BangadyBangz on youtube. Here goes nothing!! :)

1. Black: Name a series that's hard to get into, but has hardcore fans!

This is literally the only book I can think of for this. I first tried reading this book when I was ten and I didn't like it because the first chapter is super boring. But then my mom took me to see the movie for my 11th birthday (even though I didn't want to, but she was SO excited to see it, how could I say no?!), and I tried the books again because I loved the movie!

---

2. Peppermint Mocha: Name a book that gets more popular during the winter or a festive time of year.

I guess I don't know about this one. I've never read it, but it seems like it would be a popular one to read in the winter, just judging by the title.

**Side note: I really really liked peppermint mochas from Starbucks until I got a Keurig and started drinking plain coffee. This machine ruined Starbucks for me, I only like cold drinks from there now!

---

3. Hot Chocolate: Name your favorite children's book.

I had this book when I was little. I got it as a Christmas gift and I LOVED this book. I brought it to school with me and read it at recess on the playground. And some kids started calling me Dr. Seuss Girl. What an original insult, right? HA!

---

4. Double Shot of Espresso: Name a book that kept you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

I feel like this one kept me on edge for a lot of it. So good!

---

5. Starbucks: Name a book you see everywhere.

I see this series everywhere now since I finally read it. Totally understand the hype.

---

6. That Hipster Coffee Shop: Give a book by an indie author a shout out.

This book looks like it could be good.

---

7. Oops! I Accidentally Got Decaf: Name a book you were expecting more from.

I was expecting this book to be better than it was.

---

8.  The Perfect Blend: Name a book that was both bitter and sweet but ultimately satisfying.

I think that this whole series qualifies.

---

I'd love to see your answers if you feel like doing this tag!

  1. Dr. Seuss Girl. LOL
I'm waiting for the audiobook of Harry Potter to become available at the library. I've only read the first book and it was a very long time ago. I'm quite surprised that I haven't read Kiss of Deception yet. It is totally a book that I would typically pick up. I've heard mixed things about it, though. That sucks that Magonia didn't work out for you. It's magical realism, right?

    1. I hope that audiobook becomes available for you soon because you gotta read Harry Potter! So good! Kiss of Deception is so good! I'm still half reeling from that plot twist! Yeah, Magonia just wasn't for me. It is magical realism! Maybe that's just not my thing.
